WHAT WENT DOWN THIS PAST MONTH?



SOC The Sports Organising Committee sprinkled some sporty spirit with the inter-class volleyball and throwball tournaments. After week-long tussles and a feisty finale on 12th August, the following teams emerged victorious!

Congratulations to all the winners! Festing Bootcamp

On the 6th of August, the Event Heads conducted a full fledged festing bootcamp exclusively for second year students, passing on the essentials of being a good management fester. In a nutshell, the bootcamp was the perfect mix of tips, tricks and procedures for aspiring festers. Ahoy, First Years!


Eager to welcome the newest batch of BBA students, the department organised a variety of events for the newbies!






From icebreaking sessions to class wise orientations, the juniors were given a sneak peek into what they need to sail smoothly at the School of Business and Management (SBM).



The team building activities organised on the 19th and 20th August were an outdoor treat that brought freshers together for the years to come.








The Cultural Teams - Dhadak, Rang, Nitara and Zealous put up a fabulous show, inviting performers to their auditions.

The following month will be brimming with street plays, group dances, musical extravaganzas… and much more! Brace yourselves for the inter-departmental annual talent hunt, the much awaited Darpan from 5th September 2022! CHRIST University School of Business and Management Association, our department’s flagship association presents the official CUSBMA Inauguration on 6th September that sets the tone for the various events of this academic year!

The not-so-Twin Towers Apex and Ceyane, the 100m twin towers in Noida were demolished on August 28th following a Supreme Court order that alleged the construction illegal. The entire demolition lasted 9 seconds and was witnessed by people all over the nation. Trumped Documents? Following a raid warrant on Mar-a-Lago, the Florida Residence of former US President Donald J Trump, FBI officials uncovered "Top Secret" and "Classified" documents which Mr. Trump continued to possess, despite requests from the National Archives to turn them in. Climbing Charts The wizard of the Adani Group Conglomerate, Gautam Adani has surpassed Bernard Arnault of Louis Vuitton to become the world's 3rd richest person on the Bloomberg Billionaire Index. This also marks the first time that a person of Asian origin has ever made it to the coveted list. Foot out of the Mouth? Indian football fans breathe a sigh of relief as the Bureau of the FIFA Council revoked a previously imposed ban on the All India Football Federation. The previous planned Womens U-17 World Cup is now scheduled to take place in the month of October. Jio Dhan-Dhana-Dhan x5 October 2022 will witness the launch of Jio 5G services by the Reliance Industries in 4 metro cities. Jio plans to play it big this Diwali, hinting the launch of the Jio 5G phone, developed in partnership with Google. Sneakerheads, take NOtes! Michael Malekzadeh, owner of Zadeh Kicks is accused of running a multi-million-dollar Ponzi Scheme through unauthorised reselling of branded sneakers and is in a huge debt trap as the company owes more than 15,000 creditors including AMEX and PayPal. RIP, Big Bull The business magnate with a Midas Touch, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was truly the Big Bull of the Indian Share Market and an ace investor. Having owned multiple ventures such as Akasa Air and Rare Enterprises, his market predictions earned him the title of "Indian Warren Buffett". The world over mourns the loss of a gem, he passed away on 14th August 2022.
