Expression comes naturally to human beings as it is the most dominant necessity of mankind. A society desirous of growth always delves deep into self-introspection and makes creative discoveries of various dimensions.
Réveil is one such potent platform that mirrors the most vibrant image of student expression. The pages of our magazine are not just words in print, but the resounding voice of a student’s opinions, perceptions and notions.
Team Réveil introduces you to the spectacle of “Mirrors”. With this year’s theme, “Mirrors”, we at Réveil aim to render different perspectives and insights whilst exploring the ingeniousness within each of us.
Every facet, concept, aesthetic approach, cause and effect relationship is tied to symmetry in some way or another; from the origin of the world to the aesthetic wonders of a mosaic. The Mirror Dimension may be perceived as viewing the world through a lens that hasn't been subject to the chromaticity of limited imagination. Mirrors aim to encapsulate the soul of duality and express it like a tapestry that has been painted with individuality.
The prime motive of the theme is to break the monotony of predetermined confinement and seek unrestrained sagacity in familiar yet different realms.
The versatility of the theme is the allurement of it.
Réveil is in the pursuit to entice the readers to use the mirror effect as a gauge for what they’re emitting and thinking on the most fundamental levels of their existence.
Like a Mirror not only reflects the environment around us, but it also reflects who we are; asymmetrical but not an identical representation of self. It evokes a plethora of thoughts, opening the door to limitless possibilities and different realities; just like the symmetrical world of a mirror. The symmetrical reflections can be used to unearth and develop one’s hidden qualities or to identify and eradicate the internal causes that have been a source of negativity or any impediment on the path of our growth. The pandemic provided us with an imperative leeway to formulate perspectives afresh.
Hence, the theme “Mirrors” will be used to embolden the readers to never be afraid of introspection; instead, utilise the impetus of it to push them deeper and deeper into the process of self-examination and self-discovery, until they finally find or reveal the essence of their existence. Like a mirror never lies, indistinguishably the magazine echoes the multifarious creativity of the School of Business and Management.
