Updated: Sep 18, 2022

Episode 4 drops some PR truth bombs with Aanal Doshi, Anmol Betala, H Balabhaskar and Sanjana Mukund! Read on...

Perhaps all of PR comes down to one word: perspective. In this day and age of digital technology, brands and companies which can shape perspective tend to succeed and prosper, and those which fail to do so tend to get consumed by fate. Empires are built through the minds of the people, and here is where they are brought to dust. The event makes the participant realise that among the multiple stakeholders in a corporate environment, the most important one for any organisation, regardless of what its background is, is the public.

"PR seeks to remind you of the power of the people."

#1- How crucial is research for your event?

Extremely crucial. Research gives you information on the basis of which you make strategies and devise campaigns. It gives you the content for your presentation; your communication skills and confidence are also used to supplement your content. So, whenever you are given the opportunity to research, please do so as it helps you gain a significant competitive advantage. Besides, research has this other beautiful benefit wherein you gain new perspectives and acquire new information, which might just prove useful to you in another round.

#2- Why should participants choose PR?

"Public Relations as an event is unique in the sense that it has a great mix of creative tasks and crisis management, while also being realistic in nature, thus making it an event that is enjoyable and understandable even for first-time festers."

#3- What is the flagship round of your event?

A classic round you can find in PR is the ‘Networking Round’. Probably best described as an exhibition of sorts, participants are made representatives of a state, city, or any other body that works towards achieving a specific common goal by networking amongst each other and convincing the judges why they deserve that goal over the others. A conversation-based round,it puts to test your lobbying ability, professionalism, etiquette, creativity, and of course, your communication and networking skills.

#4- On an end note, what are the last words you’d like to leave your participants with?

Persevere. Seems fancy, but that is probably the best advice we could leave you with. Over the course of the fest, rounds are going to get more difficult, and the competition: more intense. The nights are going to get shorter and eventually this urge to quit might dawn upon you. Just pull through, because the feeling of competing, improving and eventually succeeding is extremely satisfying.

That's it from PR folks! Stay tuned for the biggest drop ever, tomorrow!
